Hello Beautiful Friend
My Whimsical Life
---
I am so delighted you are here. We begin together… This is my very first blog post, and it feels a little like opening the door to a brand-new home – one I’ve been dreaming about for a very long time. I loved developing the concept of our Whimsical Muse…our flower-adorned beautiful inspiration. Her name is Simiplicity. She reminds us that we are invited into self-acceptance; some parts of us in full bloom, some parts budding and yet to be revealed, some parts of that need pruning so the work is focused on nourishing the healing parts of us; celebrating others. My Whimsical Life was born from something I’ve learned along my own journey – self-acceptance is the cornerstone of mental and spiritual health. We don’t reach an age when we stop becoming. We are always growing, discovering, dreaming, changing, healing, laughing, questioning, and sometimes beginning all over again. And I think that is absolutely wonderful. Accepting who we were created to be – self-acceptance – fuels change. To me, living a whimsical life doesn’t mean ignoring the hard things. It means refusing to let the hard things steal our wonder. It means giving ourselves permission to be curious again. To dream again. To laugh loudly. To try something new. To rediscover forgotten parts of ourselves. And most importantly, to become more fully the person God created us to be. Around here, we’ll talk about faith, purpose, courage, creativity, relationships, personal growth, and the beautiful adventures of becoming truly you. Some days we may go deep. Some days we may laugh. And occasionally, we may enjoy, unapologetically, our love for coloring outside the lines. My hope is that this becomes more than a blog. I hope it becomes a gathering place – a little community of wonderfully unique souls who believe there is still more life to live, more love to give, more purpose to discover, and more adventures waiting around the corner. So welcome, Beautiful friend. Pour yourself a cup of coffee, pull up a chair and stay a while. With joy, Heather
